I was so excited to get this ARC of Dream Girl Drama in my inbox! This story is an instalove, bringing all the fast-paced, whirlwind romance vibes. However, the first few chapters jump around a lot, covering almost six months of the characters knowing each other in just a few pages. While there were brief glimpses of that time, the rapid shifts made it a bit challenging to fully connect with their relationship and keep up with the timeline.
Once the story settled into the present day, though, it was smooth sailing! I loved the fun, flirty dynamic between the main characters, and their chemistry really came through. Now I'm super interested in a possible story for the two side characters, Skylar and Corrigan—fingers crossed for that one!
There is the pregnancy trope in the epilogue

♡ Cat-and-Mouse Chase
The Butcher Game by Alaina Urquhart is a riveting thriller that masterfully blends tension and horror. Following the intense chase between forensic pathologist Wren Muller and serial killer Jeremy Rose, the novel grips you from the start. This book isn’t a standalone; it builds on The Butcher and the Wren, so reading the first installment is essential.
Urquhart’s sharp writing creates a chilling atmosphere, and the dual perspectives add depth to the psychological tension. Wren’s journey to confront her past makes her a compelling lead, while Jeremy’s ruthlessness raises the stakes.
With well-timed twists and a thrilling climax, The Butcher Game is a must-read for psychological thriller fans!

Slow to start, and the authors voice is unique but quite fitting for main character. Definitely cried towards end.
