This book had a lot of grief, but it was totally worth it. I loved learning more about the world and the supporting characters.
Can't wait to see where their journey leads to in the next book!

The dynamic between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji is exciting and unexpectedly wholesome. They each have their flaws, but their characters compliment each other well.
A fun read and a sweet slow burn romance.

This one was entertaining, but also painfully annoying at times.
The relationship between Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe becomes really REALLY problematic and non-consensual in this one.
Also I absolutely despaired at how smart and intriguing Shen Qingqiu can be one moment, but then turn around and do the most dense shit possible.
Still, enjoyed the read and finished the book in 2 days.

This is gonna sound weird, but I think my favorite things about this entire book series are the grotesque creatures and the gruesome ways some characters are wounded or killed. Truly amazing how creative the writer can get with descriptions of those demons and their acts!
