Love Bites Extra Hard by Lola Glass

This one was cute! Talon gave such golden retriever vibes...I loved it. Overall...I can't really say who my favorite couple was but this was a cute series to go through 🥰
I also loved that the last two books, alongside the main couples, we also got one or two couples out of their stories ^^

Ahh! Okay this one was cute! Also, loved that bane wasn't as anti-mate as some of the other Kings...like sure he says he doesn't want one right now but there's no real heat behind it...where as some of them were strongly opposed to the idea...
Also, I love that when a monster imprints one of their eyes turns the color of the person they imprinted on! So cute!

Ahh! I loved this book so much...especially since there was no 3rd act conflict ripping them apart from each other 🥰

*sigh* After reading Red Night: Xavier's Delight...I had high hopes for this book...overall the idea of the story was fun and hot but the execution was a little rough. I loved the beginning of the story, getting to experience that first kiss when they were in grade school getting "married" at recess...and then their second kiss when they reconnect in middle school...it was just so sweet and cute.
Through the entire story our leading lady Elle...just reeks of low self esteem...and I get it because seeing her mom and sisters...it make sense that she would have self doubt...however I would have loved to see her actually seek therapy or work things out...because with her desperation...it didn't feel like love...if felt like she just really needed someone and instead of trying to find herself...she just kept throwing herself and whoever she could to feel something...
I think the potential this story had got lost in the execution.
Being wishy-washy makes sense, I mean they're both in their early 20s...but the way in which the story was told also felt very immature...it lacked any kind of emotional depth. Elle goes through a lot of trauma that just seems to be so easily looked over by herself, by her man, by everyone...and so instead of an HEA it feels like an HFN...
I pushed through and read the whole book hoping that I was going to get more...sadly I didn't.

Ahh! I loved seeing Beks fall for her man 🥰
There were definitely a lot of moments of...if he'd just shared a little more she might figure out her BFF is already on his home planet...which had me practically yelling at the book lmao but I get it...the wait was worth it.
I do love that Beks was a more, "roll with the punches" kind of girl and wasn't super resistant to her attraction to Lihvan. She really, although still cautious nervous and scared, took everything really well and was open to her attraction to Lihvan and the idea of starting something with him.
Only 2 couples into this series and I'm so excited to see what other pairings we get 🥰

Meh. The spice was definitely spicing but the idea of him falling for her...didn't feel real. I could see love forming eventually but the love confession felt way to fast with not enough evidence...😅

Loved this...no real huge conflict between our couple...just really them learning to trust the other, be more open and vulnerable, and embrace the love between them.
I always love how Zoey is able to give us well crafted scifi fantasy books that perfectly balance giving us multiple love stories to root for while also keeping us invested in some overarching plot that we learn more and more about as we continue the books. Honestly, one of my favorite writers.

Ahh it felt so good to slip into a world created by Zoey again 🥰 She never fails to give us men that give off big ol barbarian vibes but on the inside would literally do anything for their mates...and their cultures are always ones that hold women in high esteem 💜

Another fun and quick read 🥰 I do wish we had a little more depth from both characters...although they did talk about heavy things, at times, it still felt very surface level...if that makes sense? Like we can talk about traumatic events without feeling the emotions...and that's what it felt like I was getting...I didn't feel the level of emotional depth that really would have added to their growing bond and relationship.

This is such a fun, quick, paranormal read!
Ngl, the leading lady was a little annoying...but I get it. Definitely loved Damien here more than Blair 😅 I'm excited to read the rest of these books and see who falls for who 🥰
