before I begin, I want to just thank Ms. Taylor Jenkins Reid for writing this. this book is everything.

I read tshoeh a while back and I rated it 5 starts because I loved it so I was skeptical whether i would like this one as well.

I did. this book is everything. I will be thinking about this constantly and I have so much love for this book that I'm just rambling.

I loved the characters. The Riva Siblings, June and her parents. Not Mick because we don't talk about him.

Nina's character felt so real and raw and relatable and I have so many quotes from this book it's unreal. I want to hug her and just tell her that she's done okay. She's the poster child for eldest daughter syndrome. I love how she stood up for herself and regained control of her life.

Then Jay, he's so wow. I really do wish him the best with everything going on with him, his heart and all. I hope that he finds something he can do that gives him as much joy as surfing does.

Hud is like me fr. His kindness is so refreshing and wholesome and he's absolutely incredible for the things he does. Although I'm not a fan of the whole photographing Ashley thing...

Kit is expressing but she's also soft. She's the youngest and feels excluded although she knows her siblings do love her.

Casey. Although she was introduced late, I do wish her the best.

I almost cried after reading this book because of how I loved the characters so much. Taylor Jenkins Reid cinematic universe is real.

Thank you for this. Just Thank you.

First time reading a Salley Rooney book and honestly I must say I'm a bit let down. People that like this book are valid but it was so difficult for me to like this book. I liked a bit of it but I really disliked the miscommunication trope. I saw videos of people talking about it highly and it feels weird that I don't feel the same way about the book.

A lot of people hardly made mention of Marianne's possible eating disorder?? is it just me? There were multiple instances in the book where her habits was alarming.

I don't find this a tragic love story or a story about "normal people" because if they had talked, things would have worked out.

there were still good things about this book but I'll keep an eye out for her other works as well.
