Not my favorite of the series. I still give it 5 stars because it’s amazingly well written and ingenious, but I don’t like what happens in much of the book.
I really didn’t enjoy reading this book. I loved the first two and was riveted throughout by Moyes’s ability to create complex, realistic characters. In this book, I felt that one of the characters that I had grown to know so well in the second book did/said things that were not in line with the character Moyes had created. Most of the story held significant anguish for me, but not in a way that I am accustomed to in her writing.
