Solid first read of 2023. A bit meandering at times, but always engaging and sometimes depressing

This book kind of..went hard? Despite the general consensus being that the books in the Dune series get worse over time, I really enjoyed this. I liked the deeper exploration into the aspect of ancestral memories. This book was also big on the political intrigue, which I loved.

Haunting, bleak, gross, blasphemous. A kind of slice of life, but with way more poop and bodily fluids. Apparently this book is divisive, and I can acknowledge that it might not be for everyone. I quite liked it, personally.
