it's gory and raw and rotten and you can sense it. this book plants its roots into you, shackles you with the stems of the white dead flowers and doesn't let go, tusk you away in the world so revolting it's mesmerizing. and that's the best thing about it - the gruesome ambiance you can feel in those pages. it's not perfect and i would definitely like it better with a more obscure time setting, a more profound writing style and if the ending wasn't focused on some man i don't really care about but, nonetheless, i still found it enjoyable. (also Need to see the house of hollow clothing line irl like it eats so bad)
