I struggled to get into this book. It jumped back and forth in time and it got confusing at first because it seemed irrelevant. I felt like I got to know the main character, Jenny, really well but one of the main plot points was poorly explained and you end up questioning if there was more to the story.

I absolutely adored this book! I’ve heard Anne Bogel mention this on What Should I Read Next a ton and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. It was my favorite book of the year so far!

This book is a compilation of letters and the writer does an excellent job of capturing the characters’ personalities. I immediately fell in love with the main character, Juliet, and wanted to be her best friend.

The book takes place right after WW2 and covers a couple post-war topics that you never think about because of how valiant the Greatest Generation is.

I couldn’t recommend this book enough!

This is a lovely book! The ONLY reason I didn’t give the book 4 stars is because it is slightly predictable. But if you love WW2 historical fiction, it is easily overlooked.
