Just like every other Sherlock book, I've noticed that I much prefer the full novels to the novellas. Still, I'm really glad I finally completed all of the stories and I really enjoyed getting a few cases from Sherlock's POV, instead of Watson's.

This was on sale for free on Kindle and I decided to pick it up on a whim, without really knowing anything about the plot. I was pleasantly surprised by how intrigued I got and how much I enjoyed it. The art style is absolutely stunning and every panel looks beautiful, I adored the colour scheme.
I thought the narration done by the main character didn't really sound like a real person speaking, but besides that, I really enjoyed this first issue and really want to read the next one.

This was very enjoyable, but nothing groundbreaking. I'm not used to reading comics so I think I struggle with connecting with the characters in such a short and fast format, but the story's interesting and I'm excited to read the other issues. I also loved being back in the Shades of Magic world and it's made me want to reread the OG trilogy.
Although I liked the art style, I would've enjoyed it much more in physical format, so I'll probably get my hands on the actual comic for the next issues/any rereads/completing my ever-growing V. E. Schwab collection.
