Bully King by Andi Jaxon

This book had potential, but there were some things that just didn't work for me. I personally can't hang with the "SA is sexy if the victim got aroused" trope. CNC is fine if done thoughtfully and discussed on page. This kind of hurts my heart. It's for sure a dark romance! I personally much prefer Andi's other bully romance, "Hidden Scars," which is dark but has a very soft landing for the characters.

Fellas, is doing an Eiffel Tower with your bro (and another guy between you) gay?

"Triple Trouble" is book two of the Situationship series by Jesse H. Reign. If you haven't read book one, "The Step Bro Situation" please go do yourself a favor and add it to your TBR. "Triple Trouble" can be read as a standalone but incorporates characters from book one. Will and Mattie are two "straight" bros just attending a get-together at a gay club. They have no plans for finding a hook-up that night. That is until they see... Trouble. The dual bi-awakening happens nearly at first sight, and the whirlwind romance begins.

So... I don't say this lightly. This story had possibly the most explicit smut scene I've ever read. As we know, I am a smut expert. A Smut-ologist, if you will. And I had no control over my face when I read *that* scene. It was perfect. The Mona Lisa of smut. I am forever changed. The Devil and Angel dance that Will and Mat do with their dirty talk gave me whiplash in the best way. And let's not even get started on the god-like man known as Trouble. He just oozes sex from beginning to end.

But this book wasn't just word p*rn. It had heart! Pining, affection, personal growth. It was a beautiful tale of friends who meant a lot more to each other than they realized and healthy polyamory. I love the way Jesse writes because it's so personable and authentic. It feels like we're inside the heads of these young men who are fully developed characters beyond what we see on the page. And my autistic brain loved the fact that their physical descriptions were so clear. It wasn't an image I had to completely make up in my head and forget repeatedly. Bonus points for accidental accessibility!

This is usually the part where I give you a star rating. Do you need one? Do I need to say it? Okay, 5/5 stars.

Special thanks to Jesse for letting me snag an ARC of this book! All opinions are genuine and authentic.

A bit frustrating, but this story had a perfect ending.

It's not my favorite of the series. Ben's story is definitely heartbreaking, and the tug of war is a little angsty. But as always, there's a nice HEA!

This one was hard to read in parts because of how horrible Will has been treated in his past. But it had a very sweet ending!

Do yourself a favor and buy the audiobook. Michael Lesley put his entire soul into this performance. Loved the story. I found myself caring deeply about the characters' happiness and hurting when they suffered. Just a great story. I can't wait to read "Edin"!
