It is beautifully illustrated & I throughly enjoyed how expressive the characters were. The development of the main character was great, I felt like I was part of her journey with the impossible three!

I love mystery books & this one took an emotional toll on me. It went into specific details & helped me to picture the story as I read on. At one point, I was so close to breaking down while reading it on the train. It’s an excellent read for those who appreciate a crime story.

I personally enjoy crime/thrillers and was drawn to this story about a psychopath who killed people and kept their tongues as trophy prize. However, there were too many unnecessary details and too Long-winded. It took 50 chapters then finally revealed who the real criminal was. Nonetheless I loved the ending and the plot twists.

The book portrays the many perspectives of the girls as well as people around them. It’s such an eye opener & I enjoyed Ah hong’s straightforwardness. She’s also really funny. Overall, I felt part of their journey, mainly ah hong. There was so much character growth through this journey.

As hot as this book claims it gets, i found that it warmed my heart. The progress of the lead character has been eye-opening. And to read about one’s discovery of what a wonderful experience books can bring, reminds me of my own purpose in life itself & the very reason why I still read.

It is a refreshing read! My favourite story was the great awake. I never thought that sleep paralysis could be characterised as a being. This collection of short stories was written so creatively.

It took me awhile to realise that Gilbert was not actually betrayed by his wife. Instead, he felt more like a coward. His journey through japan is detailed and beautiful. However, he ran away in secrecy & his character development was not great.

This is my second short stories book & it’s fantastic. I loved the concept of conversations amongst regular people. Funnily, cockfosters and my favourite chapter! But I do love all the stories individually. It felt personal & it was comforting to read about what these people had to go through. I could understand some of the struggles that the characters face & was able to read about the struggles that older women face as well.

There was only 5% of actual thrill & mystery. Tho the book did write off the main character truly as a [good man], but did not give enough room for suspense. I wouldn’t recommend it to those who want a thriller book with tons of suspense & thriller.
