Christina Lauren strikes again! Another book of theirs that has gotten a 5 star rating from me! I cannot get enough of the author duo that makes up Christina Lauren. The plot of this book was so fun and adventurous that even during parts where I was on the edge of my seat or literally FREAKING OUT, I was having so much fun reading. Definitely a knock out of the park. I loved every twist and turn, and as a person who loves to solve mind puzzles and riddles, I had so much fun and loved every time the characters were able to solve one.

This book was so hard for me to get through. Once I started reading, I was in a 2 month slump and just could not bring myself to finish it. It was very slow paced and hard to read - I think because of the poor English used due to the setting and time period of the book. As the book went on and the main character became more educated, it was easier to read.

I finally got over my slump and read the last 100 pages I had left in about an hour. I really enjoyed the final chapter. This is where the book was good. I was originally going to give this book only 2 stars. However, the last 3 pages or so of the story left my mind absolutely blown. This gave me reason enough to add another star to the rating. I closed the book with the thought that “hmm, maybe this book wasn’t so bad after all.”

I’m in love with this book. My first read by Christina Lauren was The UnHoneymooners (which I loved), so I was excited to read Love & Other Words. This book did not disappoint. And no point while reading was I bored, uninterested, or unwilling to go on. I absolutely loved this book. The back and forth between then and now provided the love story I needed and wanted while also providing the slow burn (or re-burn, I suppose) of Macy and Elliot. The title is very clever, which readers will find out. Be prepared for a major shock towards the end of this book, as I was completely unprepared for Macy’s “side” of the story. Loved this book!

I loved this book. At first the pace was a little slow. When I first took it off my shelf and opened it up, I found a bookmark marking a page and realized I had started this book before and never finished it. I was only 1 or 2 chapters in so I decided to start it over - I barely remembered what I had read so far anyways. But this book was great! It takes a while to really get it going, but once it finally picks up you can’t put it down. The last line gave me CHILLS. Enjoy this great read!!

I sincerely loved this book. Karen M. McMannus has won me over with another novel and I thoroughly enjoyed my time reading! I can’t say there is anything I would change about this book, which is why I’ve chosen to give it 5 stars! It was easy to fall in love with Brynn and Tripp. A great read!

This book was great right off the bat. You think you’re going in for a slow burn sort of stalker thriller but it picks up right off the bat. Some of the more crazy, unexpected, wild plot lines are written so bluntly that you’re expecting a “haha just kidding that didn’t actually happen” but then you don’t get one. I’m stuck between loving Delilah and being afraid of her mastermind genius! I definitely recommend. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I felt like the story between Logan and Delilah started at a 10 and I would have preferred a bit more build up to the place in which they were at throughout the entire book.
Logan shows interest in Delilah and immediately finds everything out about her, then they go on their first date. Delilah discovers Logan’s motives immediately following that first date. As bad as it may sound, I almost would have preferred for Delilah to stay in the dark about Logan’s motives for a bit and to begin really falling for him, to then find out his plans. It would have allowed for an interesting internal conflict for Delilah about her feelings for Logan versus her feelings about him and his stalking of her.

I love the first book in this series…and don’t mind the second book much either…but this third book just wasn’t it! I flew through the first two books and expected to do the same with this one but just couldn’t do it. I felt as though I was reading a combination of books 1 and 2 combined but drawn out..and then the last 3 chapters gave a complete whirlwind random plot line that I felt came out of left field.
I also am so upset with the way that Tessa and Cassandra’s relationship ended up going.
I feel as though this series could have benefited from just being the first book and leaving the rest up for the imagination. I will still always cherish the series as Colessa is a big part of my heart. However, I just feel as though things could have and should have been done differently. This book also opened my eyes to just how toxic of a relationship Tessa and Cole actually have! 😳🤣
