Autumn Allen began crafting this novel before, the Columbia protests and encampment for Palestine (2024) began. Goes to show the truth and relevance of the work she put in. I encourage all to read this beautifully written novel to better understand how the past, is critical and necessary to understanding the present. In the future, reverting to the usually catchphrase of “not knowing” is insufficient, because novels and resources exist, allowing us—to know.
