Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard

I'd heard that the books and the show are very different, but didn't realize just how much, until I started reading them. And I'm a little bit disappointed.
First of all, show!Hanna is so much better, she's a total bitch in this book; maybe that's more realistic but I liked how show!Hanna transformed into a diva and still remained sweet and friendly. Also I loved the bond between Hanna and her mother, which does not exist in the books. Ugh.
Meanwhile book!Aria took me by surprise. I absolutely love how she's kooky and yet a million times more badass and unique than show!Aria.
Anyway, the book's obviously not a literary genius or anything, but it's fun and easy to read.

Maybe I'm too old to enjoy this. But it was so badly written and juvenile it pisses you off.
