the first novel Iā€™ve ever read entirely in Korean! Bc even though I was born there Iā€™m very embarrassed to admit that my knowledge of the language is not optimal haha.

I knowingly picked a book that I hoped would hook me right away and I was definitely not disappointed: even though the book did drag for me at a couple of places (especially when the characters where telling their kidams, like no wonder they got killed lol), this novel still kept me interested enough to get through it!

Idk how to rate this because honestly, Iā€™m pretty sure I didnā€™t understand the ending and other stuff solely bc of my mediocre Korean and thatā€™s not the bookā€™s fault ig???

Overall, pretty fun and extra points bc I didnā€™t just abandon it at some point like I did with all the other Korean books Iā€™ve read over the years haha.

you know when you spend a whole day after finishing a book staring at your wall and trying to figure out what to do with your life to fill that hole of emptiness that the book has left you? Yeah.

This was rlly fun but due to the massive amount of exams and stress and winter depression in my life right now, I wasnā€™t really able to enjoy this book as much I might have in any other time of my life.

Still amazing tho and I will definitely read more from the author in the future!

Iā€™m pretty new to poetry so I donā€™t really get it so this review is based off personal enjoyment alone!!

felt like a big sister was giving me advice on life but also

A lot of poems, but the ā€œencouragingā€ poems especially kind of just repeated themselves in different formats over and over again lol. Also Iā€™m confident these 13 year old TikTok writers couldā€™ve written like 70% of these lmao

But overall, even though the poems were basic and cheesy kinda, this was a quick read so itā€™s ok!

simply put: a mid collection of mid poetry šŸ‘

this book was rlly interestingly written bc it wasnā€™t character driven but not plot driven either??? Like it was just random moments of a thirteen year oldā€™s life (that were quite interesting but still rlly ā€œwhat the fuckā€ to read about)

It doesnā€™t really have an overly thrilling plot or overly loveable characters, shocking turns of events are handled like everyday things and happen suddenly. Overall youā€™ll be double taking if certain stuff actually happened because the main characters seem so unbothered by that absolutely disturbing
turn of events.

lol. very random and fun tho!
