I couldn't stand Charlotte. She was remarkably dim for someone who's supposed to be an intelligent scholar. There were several plot points that were introduced never to be addressed again. It took too long for the characters  to meet each other and I was able to figure out the villian and who Draven really was in the first few pages. The book would have been much more interesting if Charlotte died at the begging and the rest of the book centered around the mysteries surrounding Draven.
