I was not expecting how deeply emotional this book was. I thought I was going into a light, fun read and that's not what this is, but I still loved it.
I'm glad they don't end up toghether and I spent most of the book agreeing with Jubilee's parents, but I'm still sad at how it all ended

Well, this was shit. Longer review coming after I have time to digest the multiple ways this book was fucked up.

ETA

Has this author ever watched an F1 race? Or do they know anything about it or F2? It's imposible for Maddie to be a 6 time F2 champion because per F2 rules, you can win the championship once and then you can't compete in F2 anymore.
The F1 parts were so bad it's not even funny. As an F1 fan, I groaned every time they mentioned something about F1.
First of all, Ferrari is not based in the UK, it's in Maranello in Italy.
Also, F1 teams can't just test their cars whenever they want in the track that's closest to them. The only time the teams are allowed to test their cars during the pre-season is in pre-season testing in Bharain. And the Danish Grand Prix hasn't happened since 1962. There is no F1 racing in Denmark.
And, a normal race weekend consists of media day on Thursday, two practices on Friday, one practice and the Qualy on Saturday and the race on Sunday.
Also, the only F1 driver to ever win the Championship in their first season in F1 was Guiseppe Farina in 1950 because it was the first year F1 was raced as a championship. So you expect me to believe that a driver that only beat her teammate once and won two races in the whole season is the driver that can manage that for the second time in history? Not even Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher or Ayrton Senna, the indisputable best drivers in history, managed to do it.

Now, regarding the characters. The MMC was a misogynistic POS. He was incredibly sexist in general but specially towards the FMC. At one point, he says women don't have what it takes to be in F1 and there must be a reason there haven't been women in F1 in decades. YES, THERE IS A REASON. There are multiple reasons such as institutional barriers that prevent women from getting to F1 and lack of financial support from sponsors who don't want to sponsor women because of misogyny.
And he suddenly becomes not sexist when he starts sleeping with her and it's wrong whenever someone is sexist towards her when HE WAS THE FIRST TO DO IT.
And the FMC jumped into bed with him after a few interactions where he treats her like shit and is a sexist asshole towards her. Like, have a little more self-respect.
This book is a prime example of how liberal women end up marrying conservative men that vote against their rights. They ignore all the red flags because it doesn't affect them to bad, until it does.
Also, was it necessary to call all women that slept with him before her "empty headed bimbos"? What the fuck did they ever do to you? She wants to be a role model for women and then she goes around belittling women for making the same choices she made.
I'm sorry if this review is all over the place, I'm just to mad.
