it was okay but i didn't completely like it? The plot is good but i did not feel really satisfied. And i just don't know why, but i find the main character really annoying. And why tf is he so fucking dumb as those stereotypical main characters in almost every horror-thriller books and shows. If they made him more unique then i would have really love the story. The only character i like in this webtoon is ik-hyeon and ye-rin, i fucking love them. And i find the ending a bit uhm how could i say this.. it's just that, ik-hyeon and bonggang MURDERED someone (eventhough it's self-defense) and it didn't get any conclusion-considering this book is about getting justice, which extremely bothers me.

I LOVE THIS VOLUME. The character +illustration are all so cute! They have my heart. And the story's starting to get interesting (saying this, when in fact i have already watched the tv adaptation lmfao) and i personally think, the webtoon is better than the show.

I really like this book, the writing is extremely gorgeous. But, i find most of the poems hard to comprehend—i really don't know, maybe it's because im still young. i genuinely don't know. i would really like to reread this next time and maybe at that time i will finally be able to understand what the poem speaks.

and i would like to share passages from this book that i found compelling and revolutionary

I let a man touch me until I bled,
Until my blood met his hunger

In that world, I was a black man.
Now, the bridge burns and I
Am as absent as what fire
Leaves behind.

Tell me that though the world ends us,
Lover, it cannot end our love
Of narrative. Don’t you have a story
For me?—like the one you tell

We talk about God
Because we want to speak
In metaphors.

Water? Is it blood that binds
Brothers? Or is it the Mississippi
Running through the fattest vein
Of America? When I say home,

Loneliness
Is a practice. Like medicine.
Like law,

We wrote our own Bible
And got thrown out of church.

I imagine
Someone who desires any
Worn piece of man must be
Willing to shoot or be shot.

Yes, she read the Bible,
Read all about war in heaven.

The Vault of Horror: a Collection of Nightmares by Various

The anthology wasn't all at all extremely scary, it is pretty average. I'm quite dissapointed actually, because the title really seem promising. The first few stories started of intriguing and they really gave me nightmares especially "Research"—in which, is my favourite story in this collection of nightmares. Most of them (the stories) are predictable and as it goes, it gets really boring. The art styles of these various artists are really gorgeous and distinct and i love them. so, 3 stars
