Book Review:
What would it be like to live in a world where you are defined by how you look, what you wear, a world where you are less than and never enough. In the world of the Doctrine you are either Pretty, a try hard, an objectionable or invisible, criterias set out to make women and young girls question their self worth.
Belle Gentle has to have it all, the highest ranking, the scholarship, to be The Chosen One by the Doctrine rules. All Joni Miller wants is the scholarship to go to the Education, to get away from the Doctrine. These two girls are up against each other, a Pretty and an Objectionable, but one horrifying incident alters their lives forever.
Holly Bourne has written about normal everyday life and put it into this jaw dropping book. Character development ticked all the boxes, I loved Joni's character but even more so I loved Belle and Joni's character together. Everyone should read this book, it is akin to the reality we live every day and such a valid matter.

What starts as something innocent rolls into a romantic adventure because the kiss they shared changes everything.

This book is by far one of my top five books for 2023 in romance genre, I loved Lace and Shawn's chemistry, the banter, the spice, their openness. Sports Romance may officially be one of my favourite tropes . The author nailed the fake dating trope so well for me. Shawn also made the top tier book boyfriend list. Prepare to laugh, CRY, swoon and fall in love with this book.
