Deciding to pick up ACOTAR was 100% a case of Bookstagram made me do it! I had been seeing so many posts about it and I was curious. When my friend, @pouringthroughpages said that she wanted to do a group read with it, I jumped at the opportunity! Figured it would give me an “excuse” to read and buy the book. I said I would follow along with the group... well... I may have not done quite that and finished it. Whoops!

The Sanatorium was @reesesbookclub February Book of the Month. I finished it by March 7th.. close enough!

This was a smash, debut novel for @sarahpearseauthor. She introduces us to characters who I feel that she makes us question and distrust the entire novel. No one truly feels safe! Everyone could be the killer!

Elin was a character who grew on me as the novel went on. I found myself rooting for Elin, wanting more for her, wishing that she had the confidence in herself that I felt in her, etc. This is why I think Elin was relatable. She is a strong female who doesn’t realize just how strong she truly is.

The Sanatorium is a thrilling, mystery novel. @sarahpearseauthor takes you on a ride that will continue to having you guessing until the very end! Even when you find out the “who dunnit”, you’ll be asking yourself, “Are you sure it’s them?!” I know I was still questioning things until the very end! And then the Epilogue?!

If mystery books are your thing, than you will not want to miss this trip to the Alps!

Little Games of Love is the debut novel by @gabypazwriter. It is a young adult novel that is told in two different POVs: Eva Coleman and Leo Rossi. This is a story of growing up, finding yourself, and young love.

Young girls will swoon over this book! We have Leo, who is older, Italian, romantic, and clearly infatuated with Eva. Eva often describes herself as ordinary, as compared to other girls, and I feel that she is a characteristic that most girls can relate to. Meeting a boy, like Leo, would be like a fantasy to many readers. Their story

The first reason I HAD to pick up this book was the cover. It is absolutely STUNNING!

First, I want to thank @courtneyturcottebond for reaching out to me and asking me to read/listen to her debut novel. I don’t know if I would’ve heard of her book otherwise, and THAT would’ve been a travesty. This novel is truly, as the title suggests, breathtaking. Still after finishing listening to it two days later, I find myself thinking about Cara, Adam, and Reid. Courtney’s writing is beautiful. Her words rip into your soul and tear at your heart.

This book follows Cara, who you can’t help but absolutely adore and root for the entire book. She has so many cards stacked against her: an alcoholic father, a mother with OCD, and her home life appears so perfect on the outside yet is so broken on the inside. She is so lonely, except for Adam. He’s her neighbor and best friend. Their relationship truly brought me so much joy. I absolutely adore Adam. I think he may be one of my favorite book characters of all time. It was wonderful watching them grow up. Cara copes through throughout her life with writing and we get to see her grow as a writer as well.
.
I don’t want to give too much else away. All I can say is this is truly a beautiful and touching novel which was inspired by a true story.

TJR has been one of my most anticipated authors. No, not just this book or one of her many other highly acclaimed novels, but Taylor Jenkins Reid. Period. She was this author, who I heard about EVERYWHERE, and I do have a few of her books on my shelf, on my wishlist, etc… but I haven’t actually picked up. Why? Honestly I was scared she wouldn’t live up to the hype. You know what I mean? It’s like meeting your childhood idol, only to find out that they are truly the worst and not this fabulous, iconic, goddess that you had envisioned in your head. Looking at you, Christina Aguilera. Anyways.. I was nervous. But when i stumbled upon Evidence of the Affair, I couldn’t pass up this quick, novella. At only 86 pages, I figured this would be the perfect way for me to finally meet TJR… and boy, was I right.
.
All I can say is WOW. WOW! How can someone pack so much emotion and depth into 86 pages? I don’t have the answer, but this book is just

This book is such a quick read! If I didn’t have stopping points due to our buddy read, I think I would’ve read it in a day! The story follows Mira as she is trying to get home for Christmas to her mom. Due to inclement weather, flights are grounded and Mira ends up getting hooked up with her seat mate, Harper, and 3 other total strangers on the ride home none of them expected. But is that really the case? The snow isn’t the only thing keeping these 5 kids away from there families, it seems that one of them has been sabotaging the entire trip. Needless to say, you will be questioning ALL of Mira’s driving party. They all seem to be guilty and they are all hiding something!
.
Overall, I really enjoyed this one. I absolutely could’ve crushed this book within a day easily because it sucks you in! The pages just fly by! I did find the ending quick and left me full of questions, which is why I gave my rating of 4 instead of 5 stars. This would not stop me from reading any and all of @natdrichards books. In fact, I immediately added them all to my TBR and wishlist!

The Lost Apothecary was my March @bookofthemonth choice this month and our choice for our monthly book club. I was extremely excited to read this book, first and foremost because the cover is absolutely breathtaking! It is hands down one of the prettiest covers I have ever seen, and I am 100% someone who buys books based on their cover.
