i loved the foil of the sheep farmer vs the badger baiter. i'm not 100% sure what happened at the end of the book before the epilogue? i might reread just that section but i did not absorb it at all. i thought it had a lot to say about how people treat animals says a lot about how they feel about other people.

i feel like i'd like this one more if i read it instead of listened to it? plus it was at work so i was on and off distracted, but overall it had some good stories for folks who like interpersonal relationship stuff.

some very dated vibes around gender and race but the general ideas were pretty cool?

ok i didn't think i would enjoy this cheesy space opera series from the 60s but here i am... it's fun. i like donna, she's snarky, i love the spacelings. the cover art goes hard. i got the second book and i already had the third... i don't love the weird age gap between the main character and his love interest but i am willing to excuse it as a product of its time lol
