For The Sake of Heaviness: The History of Metal Blade Records by Lars Ulrich, Mark Eglinton, Brian Slagel
4.0
Metal Blade was a huge influence on me as a teen, and I used to obsess over their ads in the early metal magazines, looking at the album covers and dreaming about what the music must sound like. Reading about those early days of Armored Saint and Lizzy Borden was a great trip. At times I wanted more details...more stories...but overall, this was a fantastic read and recommended for any metalhead that gets nostalgic for those golden days of American metal.

Attack of the killer caterpillars. C grade 80's horror fiction is what I expected, so consider those expectations met! Good on gore, but thin on characters and story line.
Night Shift by Stephen King
5.0
I originally read Night Shift when I was a kid, but like so many books from my childhood, I didn't really remember much about it. That said, I don't know if this five star review was loaded with nostalgia, but man, it was a blast to revisit this collection of stories. Things got off to a slow start with the first three stories, but by the time I Am The Doorway hit, holy shit, I continued to be blown away with how entertaining each story was.
