I really enjoyed this one. The pacing was fast enough to keep you turning pages, but not too fast that you felt like there were plot points missing.

Okay, I couldn't get behind the choppy writing style, so partway through I switched to the audiobook. In my opinion, that is the best way to experience this powerful story. The pacing keeps you reading for more.

I have a lot of mixed feelings about this one. I thought it was weird to see multiple POVs mixed in, because they didn't exactly flow the story along. However, I only really enjoyed the POV of Morgan and her mother. I found most of the story involving Abby to be super farfetched. And I despise the cheating trope.

There were a lot of things that prevented me from immersing myself into this story. The writing style was weird, the pacing was a bit all over the place, there was a ton of unnecessery filler that didn't flow smoothly with the rest of the story, and the idea behind the way Zoey and Davy met and "fell in love" was entirely too unrealistic for me to appreciate. I would recommend to fans of instalove and cheesy romances. It was comical at times, but I was just ready to finish reading so I could move on to something else.

I felt the last quarter of the story was slightly rushed and missed a few things. I enjoyed the alternating timelines between past and present Fern and Will. Can Carley Fortune bring to life that second chance romance set in Muskoka cottage country or what?! I was SWOONING for the setting! I will forever be on a mental vacation at Brookbank's resort.
