As a long time Sonic fan, it was refreshing to see the new comics bring back that same energy. It's not at all close to how the Archie comics were but it brought the colorful cast from the franchise back along with fresh faces. I admit that there were a few personal issues in terms of the characters and their reactions but nonetheless, it doesn't effect the enjoyment of the volume. 4.4/5 stars, rounded up to 5
