Well, I put in the time to finish the series. This last one was incredibly too long. If they cut out like 40% of the really lame sex scenes it would have saved half the read time.

I love a memoir read by the author. I have always thought Viola Davis had the most beautiful voice. Hearing about her trauma and heartbreaking childhood were so very moving. The work she had done to overcome it even at a time when she had little money but still paid for therapy etc speaks volumes. I am so pleased that her hard work and dedication to her craft are being celebrated but saddened to read what she had to endure against racism, sexism, etc to get there. I've always thought she has the most beautiful black skin and stunning face and it hurt me to my core to hear that so much of her life was spent feeling ugly and hearing that she was too black for roles, not seen as attractive just due to her black features or tone of her skin. We have a lot of work to do as a country and in the entertainment industry. I hope this book helps people to recognize some unattractive truths and work to secure more space for black women.

Quick little short story audiobook. Loved the performance by Ed Harris. Predictable twist at the end but still cute. I enjoyed it.

I was so angry for much of this book that I worried I wouldn't finish. I'm glad Lily grew a spine and asked for the divorce, but girl... just maybe be solo awhile. Feels like she's just unable to be without a man. It feels desperate in a way.

Really long and semi challenging read. I found myself almost in need of notes to keep all the characters, cities, etc names straight. But I enjoyed it. I'm curious to see where this series goes.

Fun little festive read. Finished in one sitting.

As an animal lover some parts were really difficult to read. But as someone also really into taxidermy, I found this book wildly fascinating.

Fun little seasonal read. Loved the recipe for mexican hot cocoa at the end.
