Sociopath: a Memoir by Patric Gagne

As someone who struggles with mental health issues, I am so impressed and in awe of Patric Gagne for her accomplishments.  Especially in a world that doesn't always love to give chances to those of us who are different.

This is a memoir written by an author with sociopathy. Patric has not only lived with this since childhood, but when she realized her sociopathic symptoms in a college class, she went on to get a PhD. in clinical psychology.   The power and strength in that as a way of taking ownership of what can be a crippling disorder for some, just makes me feel like there is really hope for people like me, that struggle with deep depressions, to anyone with similar struggles.

This book has so much information that can teach those with this disorder or without it.  It's truly magnificent!

The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson

Wow! I love this author.  Every time I read a Holly Jackson mystery, I know that no matter how many theories I come up with that the ending will always be a shocker.  And, this is just another perfect example of that.

Bel's mom disappeared, or in Bel's mind, abandoned her 16 years ago.  Her father is allowing a team of cameramen, etc. to finally make a documentary about the disappearance when Bel is 18.  But, when Rachel Price staggers to her home and reappears, Bel questions everything about her.

This story has a romance, a lot of family drama and more twists and turns than I could count.  I loved every part of this and definitely recommend it!

Another great book, wonderful writing and full of the twists and turns every good mystery needs!

Back with Evan in the Royal Palace, and everything seems to be fine... until it's not.  More bad press and scandal but still with the heart that I love about these books.

I simply love this series, and honestly,  I find it hard not to! It's exactly the kind of fun and enjoyable read I need to get me through a rainy weekend!

I sat down yesterday afternoon and wound up reading this in one sitting! It's simply an adorable, queer romcom that I thoroughly enjoyed.  Add in that it's friends to enemies to lovers, and that's basically all I need ya'll!!! It's a fun and light read, perfect for a day off!

The Revenant Games by Margie Fuston

Wow! What a treat! I loved the action, a sprinkling of romance, the supernatural elements, and that cliffhanger!!!!

Bly is 17 and is holding herself together pretty well in a world dominated by witches and vampires.  During the Revenant Games, for 2 weeks, the humans are allowed the upper hand.  Not that that makes things too easy.  As the rules go, whomever captures the most powerful witch gets to resurrect someone from the dead (which is Bly's plan), and whomever captures the Vampire gets Immortality (which also has a story).

This was exciting.  It had great characters that I loved learning about throughout the book.  Also, the details about this world that the author included really took this next level for me.
