This play is from 1959 and yet it’s still a page turner! So relatable! Even to this day! (2024)

I hate when I read a book and I immediately realize that I'm a bit too jaded and callused to appreciate it's "tortured-lovers". I would've ate this (the first 80% of the book to be specific) up five years ago but unfortunately, the miscommunication was just shy of believable. Also, Grace cries alot... like almost too much. Did not like that plot twist one bit, nope!

"Did time, maturity and overcoming obstacles offer the kind of contentment so evident in Orvin? Or did we simply just give up and surrender to the life we were already living?"

Yeah..... that line.....Carlino, why do you hate me? 2.75 but actually 3 because Where is My Mind by the Pixies is mentioned and wow, Carlino's finger was on the pulse of pop culture, LOL

Not a bad book, just not for me!
