The last chapter on this season is really giving me some unexpected reaction, like, all my theory that I have construct in my mind disbanded and a lot of questions were formed. I can't wait to unravel the mystery that surrounds Elliot, Will and Lillian and their families.

Ehm ... Steamy ....
I still don't understand why with Elliot, what did he do that made him label himself a bad person? I haven't found the common ground yet.

I LOVE THE ENDING.
I love how Lillian finally progresses to become a good version of herself, accepts her mental illness, how she finally makes peace with her past and embraces a new life, heal herself. And I also like that Elliot can finally break away from the chains of guilt from his past and stand beside Lillian, and the two of them hand in hand become a better version of themselves. I have learned a lot from this. I don't regret reading it.

I like mermaid tales and so on. When I first read the summary of the novel, I was already interested in reading it also with the mythological background inserted here.

I will immediately write down what I feel and think after reading this novel.

First, this story is about Simi's struggle with her new role as Yemoja's daughter, Mami Wata. Assigned to gather the souls that disappeared in the ocean. Until finally she found Kola who fell from the ship with injuries. She thought she would deliver Kola's soul but it turns out that Kola's soul is still there and bound to Kola's body. Live. And that was also the beginning of all the trips that Simi would take, because from the start, Simi's job was only to gather souls and give her blessings to Yemoja to take that souls on their journey. Saving Kola is a violation of the decree that has been given.

Afterwards, Simi feels responsible for it, she knows she was wrong but she has her own principles, but she also can't betray all Mami Wata and Yemoja who gave her a chance to come back. For that she and Kola work together, traveling with their respective goals and with the same target, Esu.

From her journey in asking for forgiveness from Olodumare with Kola, she learns about friendship, inner turmoil about her feelings as Mami Wata and her love, also about a sacrifice.

Until the same quote that I quoted from this novel:

— But we are not the same.
We can never be.

I can't wait to see what Simi and Kola's sequel will be like. The ending really makes me curious about their next journey.

Okayyyyyy, how to put my words about this? I'm not a fan about this complexity love.
