Ok this was exactly what I've been wanting from the series tbh. This book was great from start to finish and I enjoyed basically every moment. Sean really grew on me this book and I adored all of the characters we were introduced to and all of the returning cast. Dina once again just really shined this book, especially in the latter half.

I totally wasn't sobbing when everyone was trying to get her to wake up

Absolutely loved the reveal with the Hiru and everything about them

Really liked this book overall with the plot and all the new characters we're introduced to, Orro and the nameless cat were my favorites honestly. Also loved Diana's role in all of this. I was initially worried about how the romance would go with this so I was honestly really glad that Sean was MIA for the most part.

The one thing that kept this from being perfect was George and his role in everything. His manipulations and all just reminded me too much of my least favorite book in the Kate Daniels series.

Nevermind, I hate everything.

~~Ugh very mixed feelings. On one hand, really liked the concept. However, the execution left a lot to be desired.~~ I get that this was the first volume and plenty more to go I'm assuming but I just wasn't a fan of the fmc and the direction we were going with her. I guess I came in expecting a strong, admirable shojo/Romance fmc and instead got a shonen fmc that's not much without the mmc.

Speaking of the mmc. I liked him right until he

shaved and then I was just really disappointed from there. Like I was really wanting a hot dilf with a beard but what we got instead was just a pretty boy hiding behind a beard.

. Not only that, I wasn't a fan of how it seemed like

the fmc had no interest in him and was completely against him right until she saw him without the beard and how *pretty* he was and then decided to soften up right then.

One of the biggest thing this manga has going against it is the fanservice. Like I suppose it's been a while since I've read a manga and forgot about how fanservicey they can be but I had to double check that this wasn't going to be ecchi or something.

Don't think I'll continue with this unless I get some glowing reviews from people's who's tastes I trust.

Just found out that he's 18 to her 26. My disappointment knows no bounds.
