I’m a bit selfish in that I don’t enjoy “filler chapters” where it branches off to cover the tales of another student. But still adorable overall, and can’t wait to read more about Kaho!

Purely adorable in every way. There’s so much for them to learn, and they are taking it one step at a a time in the most pure loving way possible.

The drama just spiked up and man is it good! Can you tell I took drama in high school? I fear it shows more and more in my older age.

ANYHOW!! I really loved how this brought more out of both of the characters, and highly built upon their character growth. Loving isn't easy, especially when it's between a cop and a high school girl.

This was a really cute manga! I really look forward to reading the next volume! This manga was suggested to me by a close friend, and I found it to be quite enjoyable.

(I apologize for how poorly this is translated in advance. My Japanese skills are extremely rusty).

And then. . . it got worse.
I want to preface by expressing I mean no harm to the author who is very obviously loved by others. But this book was most definitely not my cup of tea.

As someone who values plots and continuing arcs, this book hurt to read. The book began on the discussion that the boyfriend messed with the dybbuk box, so naturally the story must complete this arc, correct? No. Rather, it follows an entirely different path, creating a confusing jumping plotline. And look, I believe that psychologists are important, but the scene rather felt entirely out of place.

In addition, a more personal issue I had with the book was the outdated and very childish slang at that, to the point of being cringe-worthy, slang. During the peak of it's era, it might have been well received. However, the issue which is often brought up in the previous books he wrote, is that once these slang terms are outdated they almost hurt to read or hear. The words in this novel, are no exception.

It felt exactly like watching an episode of Gravity Falls, and if I'm being entirely honest, some of the scenes WERE straight out of the TV Show. I believe this is a great outlet for children who may be less partial to reading, much like I was when I was little.

I wish I could have read this book when I was younger. I related heavily to Mabel in a cringey way with her page dedicated to a sleepover schedule. I totally made schedules for sleepovers.

By far, my favorite letters were T & V. Quite a cute and humorous book! I can now comprehend why many parents buy it for their children.

This was the build-up that I was waiting for, the drama and intensity of the scenes were a warm welcome, and helped to shed light into the manga that was beginning to feel a bit stale.

This book very heavily reminded me of the previous one, it was okay but certainly not my favorite. I keep hoping for a bit more drama than the stale mate it feels like it's currently at.
