anyway I absolutely loved this!
I thought the slow burn was perfectly paced. The characters are complex. I love the literary horror of it all, the queerness, the female rage.

The Strange Library by Haruki Murakami

I've liked Murakami's stuff before but this just felt a little too random or deliberately weird for me.
I'm sure there's something under the surface but I just didn't care enough to delve into it. Maybe it just wasn't the right time to read this, maybe I'm a little bitter that it was as short as it was. idk
But it's been sitting on my bookshelf way too long and I'm glad I can finally offload it.
