I continue to love this series. I'm realizing what I love the most is that this is a deep dive character study and while the plots are always interesting and exciting they are not the point of the series. This installment takes a dive into PTSD.

Fun series, I know of these characters but not much about them so it's fun getting some nerd history.

I enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with some of our old friends and some fun new ones. However, this is no my favorite in this series. It felt less like a story and more like a set up for the next story. I was happy enough to be back in the world and look forward to later installments in this series

Did not finish book. Stopped at 20%.
It was sweet, but it was more romance than bake off.

I just don't think I'm ever going to like Sanderson's voice. This in particular, felt like a pretentious old man telling us a fairytale that he think girls would want to hear.

I was invested the whole way! I loved the characters, even minor characters are well rounded and well developed. I thought all the relationships were earned, which is often lacking in YA novels where enemies to lovers happens because someone flipped their hair. The only reason that this is 4 and not 5 stars is that the plot was fairly predictable.

I was just so bored. I couldn't be bothered to care about what happened next. I quit around 2/3rds through the book. I'm aware there is a chance that the thousand unconnected moments that never have any point may all get tied up in the last few minutes, but I don't care. I have a couple of guesses for a big twist as I am under the impression that the whole thing is an unreliable narrator. However, in the back of my mind, all I could think about was all the books on my TBR that I wasn't reading because I was reading this book. If this wasn't a book club book, I would have quit a lot earlier, or if I'm being completely honest, wouldn't have picked it up.

Excellent fun. If you enjoy a good female revenge story or The Witch with Anya-Taylor Joy,. I recommend this book.

Warning, some of the bug scenes were a little hard to stomach if bugs make you squeamish, be warned.
