This cozy fantasy will make you want to visit Door County and eat all the snacks.

Seriously though, warm and lovely slow burn romance set in Door County, WI against a back drop of witches and bakeries.

I would definitely recommend You Were Always Magic to fans of Legends and Lattes. While this is not set in a D&D-esque world, it is set in a world of people who enjoy a good tabletop roleplay.

Also, if you're from Illinois or Wisconsin, there's the added "Hey, I know that place" aspect in reading that's always a blast.

I went in thinking that this was a dark retelling of a specific fairy tale. If it was, I did not recognize what tale. It did, however, feel like a dark old school fairy tale.

It had the impossible tasks. It had dark goals. It had just the perfect balance of humor to measure it out. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Feel a little bad because I started it right before my vision made reading difficult, but I finally remembered to finish.

It was a solidly fun typical story of an underdog training and learning the truth about war and colonization.

This is a sweet and beautiful story of love and stories. It definitely gives Spirited Away vibes.

Interesting premise but I'm not sure I care enough about what's going on to read further in the series

I was worried that I wouldn't like this book because of how much I enjoyed Legends and Lattes. While I still loved the original more, this was still delightful. Another warm hug of a book from Baldree!

This was a very satisfying conclusion to the series. It makes me interested in what may be coming down the line for the Middlegame series.

This book was cruel the way it described delicious food that I was not eating! Mean!

Ok, now that I'm done pouting like a child, I loved this book. The themes of Art and Food and Music are the reasons for being alive and con soothe any hardships the world can dish out. I love the way that Aoki did not shy away from hard truths, but still delivered a beautiful story...

Even if it did make me hungry.

While I enjoyed the book and following Tybalt for the first time, but I'm not entirely sure I see the need for it. It was essentially the same book as Sleep No More.

It was cute but I don't see myself continuing the series.
