Well, as a quick read, it's okay-ish. I wish some characters in the book were tied off nicely. Didn't leave me with a very fulfilled feeling.

It started off well but somewhere around 60% it tries to become another book and from there it's a downward spiral. There are flashes of brilliance, some passages but they fail to lift the book up to speed.

I liked the frustration of author as he tries to navigate the regions. Some of his descriptions are memorable and brilliant. A fun read, i read a chapter a day and finished this one quite fast.

This took me an extraordinary long time to read, because the book is complex and written like some kind of verse poetry. The concepts in the book are extremely alien and somehow when I read the last sentence, the last words, it just didn't leave me with a fulfilled feeling. Maybe, most probably not, I'll pick this book down the years and give it a re-read. It's amazingly mindfuck. The world building is some of the most intense I've ever read.

That's pretty much it. I'll go and read something light.
