I love this book. It's a spoof on action/adventure. It challenges gender without making me sad about how bad shit is out there. It raises big ethical questions and then finishes the chapter with a joke about how dumb the military industrial complex is. Incredible.

God Bless This Mess: Learning to Live and Love Through Life's Best (and Worst) Moments by Hannah Brown

As far as celebrity memoirs go, top tier. She is candid about her life, is a medium-good righter, and her life is interesting.
She's not the greatest writer of our generation or anything, but if you like Hannah Brown, you'll like this. Her personality shines through, and its got the gossip you'd hope for.

There is some great advise in this book around organizing an event with purpose, and even some of the autobiographical stuff was fun.
But it definitely shows that a rich New Yorker wrote this. Only about half of the advice was any good for my poor, 20-somthing, Midwestern use case.
That being said, I did use this book to plan a wedding that went VERY well. So. Read it.

This is my new favorite book.
I know it makes me a bad person, but it makes me want to eat a hot dog.
This book was made FOR ME and maybe only me. I laughed, I cringed, I learned. I mostly laughed though.

This book bummed me out. New interesting way to look at the world, and I think about it all the time.
But it made me so sad.

This book is so funny, I couldn't put it down. I'll have to read it again to pay more attention to the illustration, but the narrative was so compelling, I definitely missed out on the great graphic element on this first read.

Loved this book. A great well-thought-out world, but our narrator is apathetic and funny. Interesting characters, interesting world, and a great plot.
