“A dragon without its rider is a tragedy.
A rider without their dragon is dead.”
READ. THIS. BOOK. I assure you, you'll not regret it. It was worth my time and money. The best book that got me back into fantasy after all my time reading contemporary romance novels.
GIVE THIS BOOK A TRY IF YOU LIKE THE TROPES:-
1. enemies to lovers
2. dragon riders
3. forbidden romance
4. smut (a little)
5. badass female
MY THOUGHTS
I loved this book. From the first page to the last, I was captivated. The execution of the book was perfect. The world-building was wonderful and so detailed that I felt transported into the world Rebecca created.
the pace was steady for most of the book but picked up a bit towards the end.
“I’m way too fucking greedy when it comes to you”
“I’ve been yours for longer than you could ever imagine”
“she exists, and I get turned on“
romance oh the romance, it had all the feels. it was a slow, angsty, enemies-to-lovers romance with a hint of spiciness to bind it all together. the tension, chemistry, the jealousy, the way it turned from “I’m going to kill you” to “I’d die for you” was so damn cute it made me giggle. One thing I liked about their relationship was how open and honest they were and how Violet took the first steps in their relationship, and their smut was um…..well….. window-shattering, to say the least.
the end of this novel made me cry out for a sequel. This novel is a real roller coaster of emotions and adventures. If you haven’t read it you are missing out. RUN. NOW. TO YOUR NEAREST BOOKSHOP. I promise you, this book won’t disappoint.
