I decided to read this book to fit a prompt for Get A Clue Readathon hosted by Rainy Blue Reads on Booktube! This book fit the prompts glass of the cover and intimidating read.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book! I haven't been much of a romance reader over the years...I'm not exactly a fan of insta love and forced happy endings so I've stayed away from the genre over year years...

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about a dark romance....and I was very surprised that I didn't hate this book...I honestly enjoyed the storyline! Am I a dark romance girlie? I don't know if I would take it that far...but I may dabble a bit more in the future!!

Is James the book boyfriend of my dreams? Absolutely not! Was this relationship incredibly toxic yes... But James has a story and I wanted to see it play out! I was not disappointed. I was intrigued by the characters and I wanted to see if James got his revenge....

In the end were the big reveals life shattering? No...honestly I kind saw them coming in the end...But this story was enjoyable and I may consider giving another book in this series a try in the future!

This book has been on my TBR since it came out and it has been all over booktube lately with stunning reviews!! I just had to pick it up and I am so glad it fit a prompt for TBRathon!!!

Its been a while since I've read a YA fantasy and I honestly forgot how insta lovey these books can be... like Kamron literally looked at Alizeh and was instantly infatuated by her...this was a little bit too quick for me personally BUT there is so much more going on in the story that I was able to put it aside a bit...

Alizeh and Kamron are literally from different worlds...Alizeh starts off as being a poor servant nearly scraping by while Kamron is a Prince getting ready to become king.... Their paths cross in an unexpected way...Kamron actually witnesses Alizeh get attacked on the street and he saves her attackers life and is determined to track her down because she left a handkerchief behind...

Alizeh is a maid for a noble and she is a seamstress in her spear time...there is also more to Alizeh that the reader finds out farther into the story...she is actually Jinn and has ice in her veins. She is the long lost air to a lost kingdom...She is also the kings enemy and he wants her dead immediately no exceptions... <Spoiler/>

Karom finds out what Alizeh is hiding BUT it doesn't stop him from risking everything to seek her out...Alizeh just wants to live her life but once her secret is exposed there is no going back to her current life... The final few chapters of this book were wild! I had no idea who to trust and there were so many twists and turns in the last 50 pages there was no way to predict what was going to happen and my jaw was literally on the floor! I cannot wait to pick up book 2 and see where this story is going to go next! This book was crack in the best way!! - I feel like I have been saying this about a lot of books lately and I am literally living my best reading life!!

I read this book to fit the genre blend prompt for TBRathon hosted by LeandratheTBRzero!

The Bridge Kingdom series was recommended to my by a Bookstagram creator back in March of 2024...I read Bridge Kingdom back in Fall of 2024 (I can't remember which month) and I enjoyed it! I think I gave it around a 4.5 star rating and I thought it was a decent start to a series and had potential!

This book however caught me completely off guard and I literally devoured this book! It started right where the bridge kingdom left off and it did not let me go. If you enjoy high stake, prisoner / rescue stories then this book is going to be for you! I probably would have read this whole book in one sitting if I didn't start so late the first night!

It took me a minute to remember who the characters were and who was fighting for what but once the details came back to me this book had me in a choke hold and didn't let go!

I was fully invested and cared for all of the characters for different reasons. I didn't know who to trust and for me that make it that much more exciting! I also liked the different point of views in this series because you really got to know what each character was feeling / fighting for!

I love Arwen / Laura.

Laura has everything to loose and she doesn't stop fighting even though she knows the outcome is probably not going to be in her favor. This doesn't stop her from fighting for what she believes is right! She is a warrior / Queen through and through!

Arwen has so much to sort through - not only is he a prisoner at the beginning of this book he is trying to sort of the biggest betrayal from the women he loved. His people are dying trying to save him, he has to watch them be tortured and the watch as their bodies are displayed....I can't even imagine the mental trauma he went through...

Then he is saved by the very women who betrayed him and his people and they are forced to survive and fight for the greater good!

This book has so many twists and turns and Laura really proves herself in my opinion...There is also a ton of politics in this book and I am very interested to see where this series is going to go next...I'm sad that Laura and Arwen's story in done after this book BUT I am very intrigued by this next couple featured in what I'm assuming is going to be the next 2 books of this series!

This book is my most anticipated book of 2025 and I honestly feel like Rebecca Yarros delivered with this installment to this series!!

I read this book in 3 sittings and then had to go back and re-read the last three chapters today because I needed to grasp what the heck happened at the end of this book!!! I honestly have so many questions in the best way possible!

I felt like this book had a good balance of school setting, political stuff, and battle scenes. I was terrified of Xaden for 80% of this book but the slow burn and tension is real in this book and I feel like the few spicy scenes we got were worth it...Violet and Xaden's relationship is toxic as all hell but somehow it still works for me!

I am feeling a little bit overwhelmed with keeping all of the characters in this story straight and I feel like I need a master list of who is who and where they belong within the world. I know there is something at the front of the book but it wasn't everyone and I still found myself lost with some reveals.

I definetly enjoyed my time reading this book and I will most likely be doing more than one re-read of this book like I have with the others in the series! This series is quickly becoming a favorite series of all time for me and I cannot wait for the next installment in a few years (hopefully). Can't wait for some answers!

I have feeling a binge of this series (of the books that are out) ahead! I am so happy I decided to give Bonded by Thorns a chance this month! I have really enjoyed both books I've read so far! I love being in this world!

This was Farron's book and I like Farron but I do still think (Ezron, Dayton and Kel) have a bit more mysteriousness when it comes to their storylines. I am also intrigued by the Prince of Thorns! I am excited to get to know each male lead in future books!

This book had more storyline to it! We do have curses to break and mates to find! They were also fighting for the Autumn realm in this one which I enjoyed as well...

However I am here for the relationships! Give me more! I want to know who is mated to who! I do want to pick up book 3 because now I am fully invested and I need to know all the things! I can see what the hype is about with this series!!

I read this book for my very first in person bookstore at the new used bookstore in my town! This one was from a genre I haven't read much from but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this story. Its not necessarily a new favorite but I thought it was a nice plate cleanser in-between high stake fantasies I've been gravitating towards...

Overall I enjoyed how the characters connected by the end of the story. I thought the separate storylines wrapped up nicely. There were some characters I liked more than others. I really enjoyed the stories behind the lost objects. By favorite parts were present day and seeing their day to day life in real time....

This series is taking over BookTube at least with the creators I follow! I decided to give this one a shot and I am so happy that I did! At first I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about reading why choose but and in all honesty I'm shocked it didn't really bother me and I enjoyed learning about each male character!

This is heavily based on beauty and the beast which is my favorite Disney movie so it already has that going for it. But as the story kept going and we met each Prince I really enjoyed getting to know their personalities and where they came from. I feel like we don't really know them yet tho and I look forward to getting to know them better in future books.

Of course there is a curse and the way to break the curse is to find a mate. We are lead the believe that Rosalina the main female character is the mate to at least one of the males. But in all honesty I'm thinking she's the mate to all four males which is what makes this series why choose. The why choose aspect of this series wasn't explored too much in book one so I'm thinking its really going to happen in future books. I could be totally wrong but I'm thinking thats how its going to go...

I also loved the relationship between 2 of the males in this story...I was surprised with myself for really enjoying Farron and Dayton's scenes. I am looking forward to exploring this relationship more and look forward to relationship growth between these 2!

Ezryn is very mysterious.... and Keldarion is full of secrets and is the master of hiding behind his feelings...

after book 1 my standing for the male leads is

1. Farron
2. Dayton
3. Keldarion
4. Ezryn

Quicksilver was the book club pick for Tortured Readers bookclub hosted by Rainy at Rainybluereads and Katy at _Iwouldratherbereading for the month of December. I started in the middle of December and then took a long break due to health issues and I cannot wait to go back and re-read the beginning of this book to experience the full book without as many interruptions. I think this book deserves all the hype it has received the last few months!

The last 60% of this book was extremely unique and engaging I was literally on the edge of my seat crying, screaming, laughing out loud! So many twists and turns and I didn't see any of the reveals coming! I literally cannot wait for book 2 to see what happens next to these characters! I thought the concept of this book was every unique and I was intrigued almost instantly! I loved literally almost every aspect of this book!!!

This book was a friend recommendation from the content creator Rainybluereads!

This book was right up my ally! It was a dystopian fantasy romance. I really enjoyed my time with this one it was action packed, fight for what you believe in, high stakes, different powers, rebellion...It had so many of my buzz words and I really enjoyed this one...I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't wait to see what happened next!!!

I wish my review was better but I honestly can't wait to continue this series! Hopefully I will write my review right after I finish the next one...

I am so happy I was able to get a copy of this book from my library pretty early!! I am able to fit prompts for both Winterathon hosted by Rainybluereads and Bucketlistathon hosted by DanniDabbles!

I read the An Ember in the Ashes series about 2 years ago. I enjoyed my time with the series but unfortunately I did find myself struggling a little bit with who some of the returning characters were and what their roles were in the Ember in the Ashes series...BUT I did feel like I remembered enough of what happened to really enjoy this book.

This book is set in the same world as An Ember in the Ashes but it is the next generation of characters. I really enjoyed each storyline and I thought Sabba was a mastermind with how she brought each storyline together! I was all in with each storyline and I was engaged from beginning to end! I can't wait to see peoples thoughts and discussions for this book! I also want book 2 ASAP especially with that ending!!
