The Hike by Lucy Clarke

I enjoyed the read but really wanted more twists at the end. I feel like there were multiple set ups that never resolved like

what was the point of Maggie looking so much like Karin? I thought the big twist was going to be that Helena’s baby was Patrick’s but nothing happened with that.

I did enjoy the voice acting in the audio book!

The twists were a bit predictable but I really enjoyed the storytelling and relationships between the characters.

Great! Nice modern detective story with a twist that surprised me. I picked this up because I liked one of the narrators Gary Tiedemann in another novel and wanted to listen to more from him.

I ended up really enjoying this book, when it started out it felt kind of YA but the more I read the better it got. Not very scary or suspenseful, but I feel like the resolve of multiple twists at the end is worth the read.

I read thrillers because they are fun but I thought this one was genuinely great storytelling and I loved it so much, one of my new favs.
