Queer and Lovecraftian with a divine twist. An interesting tie-in with the rise of modern AI.

A wonderful anthropological exploration of a human colony in which all men are killed by a native bacteria. In many ways it still holds up as great feminist literature, and is notable for the time in which it was written.

It's good and interesting, I think I just don't love military history as a genre.

Rowland knocked it out of the park again. And, once again, we leave the book with a cornucopia of emotions we'll be working through until the next time we read it.

This is the best book I have ever read. I feel nourished and whole, having been cared for across nearly 1300 pages.

A Taste of Gold and Iron had 500 pages to make me cry. Tadek and the Princess did in in 100. It's a painfully warm story of absolute love and devotion and the inevitable grief that came with it. Do not miss this after reading A Taste of Gold and Iron.
