Extremely fast plot and addictive read. Most chapters were 5 pages or less so you're constantly switching between POV's. I couldn't put it down because I needed to know that happened when I arrived back at certain POV's. felt like every chapter ended in a mini cliff hanger. Finished it in one day. 4.5 ⭐

How did Jane Harper do that? I thought I was all smart and figured out the mystery. "Exiles" is the 4th book I've read from her, I honestly thought I called it.  Harper tricked me again.
She introduces you to so many characters and the different relationships and dynamics between them all unreel very slowly. It had me joining dots when there were no dots to join.
I was a little frustrated with Aaron Falk's dialogue at times. He was asking questions like a cop would in an investigation during friendly/casual conversations. In real life, it would have felt very grilling. New people he just meet maybe revealed a little bit too much personal info.  Very slow-paced, but a very satisfying ending to the Aaron Falk trilogy.
