I would have put this book on my "favorites" shelf on Goodreads, but it wasn't worthy of the position. It was still deliciously good, but not amazingly great. Hallowed continues the story of the first book, where Clara's purpose is still not determined. She has visions occurring during her dreams, but at first she doesn't tell people about it. You get the vision: someone she love will die. It's one of the big revelations here in the book. The story also focuses on Clara's relationship with Christian. The book was a real tearjerker I tell you. After you find out who's going to die, you'll cry buckets of tears. The book's just so emotional and all that.
I really liked the book, everything in it, but the part where Ms. Hand pushed Tucker out of the spotlight and lets Christian take the center stage with Clara. Yes, Tuck isn't Clara's leading man here in the book. That's what I felt. And it didn't do me any good. I was left wanting more, well, more of Tuck. Every scene they have together just makes me so smitten. I melt with their sweetness. They are so good together that I can't even picture Clara and Christian beside each other. I love that Ms. Hand pours me answers to the questions my brain has gathered after the first book. I was simply mind-blown. I was giddy about Clara's parents, and I just can't tell you it's making me go nuts. The book will expand Clara's background I say to you. You'll feel happy that you're going to get some answers to your questions. I also love the new characters in the book. Billy, she's just a sweetheart. (I know, the name's weird.) You'll go gaga over this installment, even if it has flaws.
I recommend this to Unearthly fans, and those of you who have been waiting for a good angel story.

I waited a year to have a copy of this book and finally, I had the chance to read this book and it was totally amazing! It's like hallelujah is playing on the background whenever I pick up and continue reading this book. I'm going to break down the story for you: Clara Gardner is a part-angel, mostly human who moves into Wyoming so she can learn more about her purpose. Every angel or part-angel has a purpose to do while they are in Earth. And in Clara's case, she has visions about a boy and a huge forest fire. On Wyoming, she learns about angels and what it means to fall in love.
The book is magnificent. I couldn't put it down. The story is romantic, thrilling, and exciting. The way Ms. Hand wrote the story, how she put a back story on angels, and for the fact that she described Wyoming as a dazzling place is very well done. Reading the book and seeing that Ms. Hand beautifully wrote the setting makes me want to fly off to Wyoming and just ski all day long. I love how Ms. Hand put a twist on angels, one I've never read before; a lot, different from the fallen angels type of books.
The characters were simply lovely. I love Clara. She is wonderful and funny and charming. Tucker and Christian, on the other hand, were true to their parts on being "hotness personified". I fell in love with the love story of Clara and Tucker. At first you would think they won't be the 'item' on the story, but when you get in the middle, you'll actually fall in love with the two and go giddy. For the most part, I didn't feel Christian, even in the end.
I am highly recommending it to EVERYONE. This is one of my absolute favourites. It's fresh and light and romantic. :)
