This book is weird, repetitive and boring 🥱

This was a family drama rather than the thriller it was tagged as.

It was a solid read, not what I expected going in but it kept me engaged. I liked the writing style thought the characters could have been fleshed out a little.

I was mostly bored 🥱 it got a half a star for the short chapters.

Who in this day and age sends an eight year old boy to strangers to do chores everyday? Or is this still a thing in America 🤷🏼‍♀️

It feels like she’s running out of ideas so is throwing anything together in the hope it makes sense. It’s not working.

This isn’t one of my favourites by this author unfortunately. Too many characters and so slow 🙁 by the time I’d reached the 80% mark I started to get bored.

The premise was good, just not my thing 🤷🏼‍♀️

What a load of old shit!

One ⭐️ is too generous.  Boring and repetitive. This isn’t something I’d usually read and now I know why.

Not my favourite of the series but still a good police procedural, if you suspend your grasp on reality 😀

This series just keeps getting better.  The humour compliments the dark subject matter. I just wish Colin Clare played a bigger role, he just makes me laugh like a drain.

If you suspend all belief you’ll enjoy this series. It’s bonkers but in a good way.

This wasn’t my favourite of the series so far. I do like the characters, (except for Billie, she brings nothing to the story) the banter and the writing style but the plot 🙄 I can’t roll my eyes hard enough. It was so improbable as to be farcical. And the Hateful thing? Please, very lazy writing 😐

Saying all that, I have the seventh locked and loaded 😀
