I enjoyed this one, it was long but worth it. It reminded me of The Measure. I do enjoy a good What Would You Do book and this was a good one.
I knocked a star off because each chapter is a different character and it took me a while to figure out who was who. Once I did it flowed beautifully.

I love a gritty gangland crime but this was not that. It was very surface level and left out all the details and violence that I like in a crime thriller. This felt more like a domestic drama.
The dialogue felt clunky and repetitive. It felt that whole pages were taken up with repeating the same conversation 🙄
Unfortunately this was a miss from me.

If you want a quick, easy to read domestic thriller this one is for you. Nothing earth shattering but it reads quick. I was half way through in my first sitting.
Predictable plot line, unlikeable characters, all ties up nicely at the end. 🙂

I almost DNFd this one as the first 50% bored me. I found the writing style confusing and the changes of character and timeline confusing.
I’d also figured out the ending way too soon.

No star rating as it’s a memoir.
I bloody loved this!
I’ve had Never Gonna Give You Up as an ear worm the entire time I was reading, which is unsurprising as the song was mentioned a lot.
Seems like a lovely man. Well worth a read.

I just didn’t like it. The only reason I gave it two stars was because it was short.

This was neither a mystery or a thriller to me, I found it all very lacklustre and predictable which is a shame as I enjoyed Hidden Pictures.
This was filled with unlikeable characters which I don’t have a problem with if they have a bit of dimension, which these characters did not.
I also did not like the ending, it left me with questions which better not be answered in a sequel 😡

This is reread for me. I first read it in the early eighties as a teenager. Not sure what happened to the parental responsibility 😀 anyways, I loved it then and I still love it now.
I do like a horror that could potentially come true. And rats in London. My only surprise is that it hasn’t already 😃
