Boys Will Be Boys: The Glory Days and Party Nights of the Dallas Cowboys Dynasty by Jeff Pearlman

The Road by Cormac McCarthy

A bleak and devastating post apocalyptic book. Written in almost a minimalist style with intense detail on the surrounding landscape.
Thunderstruck by Erik Larson
4.0
While not his best work, Thunderstruck reads incredibly quickly with what (to me) was a little bit of an unexpected twist. The incredible level of detail, something that Larson is known for, is ever present in this book, and it only adds to the further story.
Zone One by Colson Whitehead
3.0
I realized, upon finishing this book, that I don't really enjoy zombie fiction. Despite this ,the author does an incredible job of keeping the reader engaged with a first person story about coming of age in a moment of undulating terror and false calm. While this did not sell me on the zombie genre, ti did sell me on Colson Whitehead.
