A bit slow to start but definitely came to a climax that made me want to find out what happened next…. 

Really liked the insight into indigenous American cultures and traditions. 

I liked that she didn’t choose Jamie at the end and went on to be independent and confident in her own dreams and ambitions rather than the “happy” ending depending on the love story

Perhaps just didn’t love the audio -
Very long winded and wasn’t entirely sure where it was going. Footnotes were randomly interjected by a totally different narrator and I couldn’t work out why!

My only quibble is that Doug needed to do more research on birth…. VERY unlikely Ava would be crowning about 10 minutes after her first contraction, and I can only imagine that Michael cutting the umbilical cord Willy-nilly without clamping either end would cause the severed ends to piss with blood!!
