First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston

I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. I’m normally really disappointed in thrillers/horror but this year (while I have had a few duds) I’ve found so many that I’ve really enjoyed. It was a really fun ride. I did guess a few of the twists and I was close on some and then a few I actually didn’t see. I would def read more thrillers by this author

Suzanne will be receiving my therapy bills. She saw all yall simping over Snow from the last book and said “oh I’m sorry, you must have forgotten who the REAL ENEMY IS. Let me show you.” And then she proceeds to show us in grave detail that Snow is in fact the enemy.

I love this story so much. It’s so goofy silly, silly goofy with life lessons along the way.

I have loved Cursed Princess Club since I found it on webtoons. My absolute favorite graphic novel to come from that app (but there are MANY bangers, truly a treasure trove of graphic novels). A story of self acceptance, sweet baby Gwen has a long way to go before she’s healed that inner child. I’m here for it every step of the way.
The Paper Mache Man by Jesse Pullins

So it may be the fact I am HIGH off my mind from anesthesia and copious amounts of pain killers I was given when my body doesn’t even typically finish a single beer, but this book was.. nothing. It felt like a creepy pasta, and read like one too. But we get no answers, and that ending makes no sense. It was a creepy set up sure and I can see how it’s scary or spooky but that ending and the prose made it less than enjoyable.
