please for the love of god don’t read this book on your period. i don’t think i’ve ever cried so hard at a book in my life, truly a masterpiece. all of the characters were fully fleshed out and what they felt we felt which i think is a thing a lot of authors struggle with because it’s easy to do for 1 or 2 characters really in-depth and loveable but even the love interests parents co-workers and friends were full of emotion and heart ache. 10/10 book perfect balance of everything, id recomend it to anyone

defiantly an amazing book don’t get me wrong but definitely not emily henry’s best book. However definitely her funniest. i bought it in an airport and finished it by the time i got the taxi to my hotel and i swear people thought i was mental because i was laughing out loud for a lot of the book (mainly the start)

it took me way too long to read this book because it acc sucked. i felt like not only did i not know what was going on the whole book but that the author didn’t either. at the start it was very heavy porn but then at the end basically none? like smut at the end pls not in the first five chapters then never again bec idc if 2 characters i don’t know anything about are having sex. Also didn’t know a single thing about the characters but their trauma, like nothing. i think the hotel could’ve been used more but it was used like twice and wasn’t necessary and honestly i felt more emotional connection to the hotel over levi and his “secret gayness” like wtf all i know abt levi is that he builds stuff and he’s gag even though it’s a secret. it’s made to be such a big deal being brought up multiple times like “levis husband” and then another speil about how secret it is like i acc dc just say he has a husband and leave it. my fave characters are the dog and the ghost by far
