TLDR: It's good. It's really good.

I am loving this series! It is funny and light hearted while still having characters with significant challenges and depth. I love that the MMC is rocking a dad bod. I've seen some variation in body types for women in romance novels but very few for men. And any variation I had seen in MMCs was previously in gay romance. So I really enjoyed that. This is dual POV with book end prologue and epilogue from a completely different character which is SO fun. Just loving these stories, characters, and writing style. I hope to see a lot more collabs from these authors.

TLDR: It's fine and spicier than you'd think.

This was a fake dating partial omegaverse novel. It was good. I don't think I was in the right mindset for it. And it definitely surprised me with the amount of spice. For a semi mainstream cartoon cover I was surprised. Lots and lots of spice. The story follows the usual fake dating trope. If you like that trope odds are you'll like this. It didn't speak to me. I have enjoyed the fake dating trope in the past but this one just didn't hit the mark. I'm not sure what it was. I suspect I wasn't in the right mood and that's really unfortunate for both me and this book. I don't know, something just fell off. But if you enjoy fake dating and/or Omega verse give this one a try.

TLDR: It's a cute fairy tale retelling/ rom com/ telling the villain's side story. Ends in cliffhanger.

Very cute book. I love the little fairy tale elements. Re-imagined fairy tales is a book type that I have really enjoyed in the past so it was fun to revisit. Solid grumpy/sunshine dynamic which I am a big fan of. There were a couple of heavy elements in the book but overall just a solidly cute book. I loved the characters, their dynamics, and be cute little extras that the author included.
