TLDR: Not as good as the first book but still good.
Solid fantasy novel but an unfortunately slow start. There were times when I yelled at the main character to just get over it! Huge cliffhanger ending.

TLDR: I'm sure the recipes are delicious but they are futzy. From the "rare" ingredients to the steps of the recipes, everything feels complicated and unapproachable. Perhaps a good fit for people who love spending time in the kitchen.
I am continually looking for ways to increase vegetable intake. This book is exactly as advertised and has vegetable forward recipes organized by season (something I find helpful). Very few of the recipes include meat and it could easily be excluded (as the author points out in the beginning of the book). While I really wanted to love this cookbook, I found the recipes to be overly involved. One of the recipes for a very fancy version of potatoes had multiple steps and took upwards of an hour. I do not care to spend that kind of time or effort in the kitchen, especially for just a side dish. If you are a foodie and love spending time in the kitchen, this is a great way to try out new veggies and flavors. I, however, need something simple and quick as well as delicious. I have no doubt that these recipes would be great and I will be sure to try a few but this will not be a go to cookbook for me.

TLDR: This an adorable fantasy tale of a found family in a dystopian setting. A feel good read that I highly recommend.
This is a fantasy book that has a mild dystopian flavor. There are heavy themes of discrimination and government control and neglect. This is one of those fantasy novels that jumps right into the story and take you for a ride. I love the fast paced nature of that type of world building. I love the stylized way TJ Klune writes and creates his worlds. I find it delightful and engaging. Every character in this story is going to make you feel something, not all of it positive. If you like a book that features found family, this is the book for you. While there is a romance in the book, romance is by no means the focus of this book. This book made me chuckle and cry. It was a truly wonderful time.

“Space might as well be endless. It made her feel inconsequential. In a good way. Like all the ways she f***** up down here didn’t matter. The stars wouldn’t mind.”
TLDR: Sapphic, age gap rom com with many bisexuals (not all together just in general) and a decent amount of sex.
There are so many bisexual characters in this book! Usually in a book, there’s one, maybe two. I’m not objecting. I just thought, “Oh everyone in this story is bisexual. Cool.” And continued on my way. I went into this book blindly. Sapphic romance was all I knew. And that made the beginning of the book so much fun, so I won’t give you any troupes except age gap. I hope you get to enjoy the juicy bit at the beginning too. If it’s already been spoiled for you, there is still plenty to enjoy in this book (and really you saw what was coming but still fun!). This book really features women growing into themselves and figuring themselves out, with a decent amount of sex on the side. If you like sapphic rom coms, I’d bet this is up your alley. I really enjoyed this book. It was engaging and fun. I highly recommend giving it your time. While this isn’t a book I would normally re-read (my criteria for 4 stars), I had so much fun reading it that I’m giving it an extra star.

TLDR: This is a heartwarming book with a lot of mental health rep.
While this is technically a standalone (it doesn't follow the same characters as book one), I would highly recommend reading book one before starting this. You'll get all the information you need to follow along, but you'll get more out of it if you read in order. This is a hurt/comfort, gay romance. I found it delightful all the way through. There is a lot of support, understanding, and comfort given and makes the book feel like a nice hug. One of our two main characters does a lot of negative self-talk but was also working through it. There were also a few spicy scenes that involved light bondage and nipple piercings which can never hurt a story.
Rating: I enjoyed this book, but it probably isn't one that I would re-read

"I don't have the strength to say no to him. Hell, it wouldn't even take him more than one word to get me to slip. Yes. Now. Want. Any of these, and I'd cave. Because I am so damn weak for him."
TLDR: This is an excellent taboo romance that will keep you engaged waiting to see how they'll overcome in order to get their HEA.
This is a medium spice taboo romance. There is a dash of angst but I wouldn't say it is overwhelming. The characters conflicted feelings and attempts at denial in the beginning of the book creates some delicious tension. I couldn't put the story down as it progressed because I had to know how these characters were going to get their HEA. I was legitimately worried it wouldn't happen. If you are a reader of gay, billionaire romance, give this one a go.
