TLDR: This is a fantastic paranormal romance with lots of spice and an examination of your internalized prejudices.
I had so much fun with this book. I weirdly liked it so much more than the first book. I don't know if I just wasn't in the right mood when I read the first one but this one is lit. It kicked it up in the spice region but also the writing was great. There were just a lot of poignant comments or great one-liners that made this book so much fun. I will say the plot feels a lot like them just running around and getting nowhere but I had so much fun while they were doing it that it didn't even matter. The MMC in this book is so likable, I'd sleep with this demon. This book really celebrates being unapologetically yourself and finding the people who value who you are. The two main characters are in different places in this journey but end up cresting the last part of that journey to full self acceptance together and it's so much fun.

TLDR: This is college hockey romance is a bit of a rollercoaster coaster but you will laugh. A lot.
This book made me chuckle many, many times. And it was way spicier than anticipated. 4 out of 5 for spice for sure. Overall of this is an enjoyable read. Our two main characters have some interesting and compelling backstory. Their relationship is believable and enjoyable to watch flourish. Although I will say it went a little fast at the end. There were parts of this book that I absolutely saw coming (and it made the adults of the story look a little dumb in my opinion). There were other parts of the story that I absolutely did not see coming. What a shock! There were instances where the FMC bothered me. But not enough to detract from my enjoyment of the book. Overall if you like college age sports rom coms, I think you'll like this one.
